Edit: The tubes went fast on HF, Vegans still available
    Vegans sold all done here

Figured I'd post this here with all the Zana Deux owners around (I'm sure the 6SL7 is in other amps as well). I'm done tube rolling the ZD, just gonna stick with this one driver tube that works good-great with all my headphones instead of switching. Please see HF links below for more details or pictures. SBAF community asking prices below with PP fees and USA shipping.

Audeze Black Vegan Pads ($25 for SBAF)

From my HE-6 that bit the dust. The pad parts are in great shape, but there are some small tears and adhesive residue on the back side. Also the screen has been cut off. Asking price reflects this, great for modders and tinkerers!

Nice. Did you decide on the Philips JAN as your preferred driver?

Shit, I would have been all over both of those. I too am curious which tube you've settled on. Any comparisons between these two and your current one would be very helpful. I'm using the Tung Sol 6SU7GTY Brownbase and find it very versatile for all of my cans.

@Artasia @cskippy Other than stock, which I've barely listened to, the ZD drivers I had are (rough impressions)...

Sophia Electric 6SL7: Good bass, maybe a little more bloomy than others which is nice for 800. Smoother laid back treble, good for 800 bad for 650. Maybe not as detailed and snappy as some others, but I was using with 800 for a solid month happily.

1945 SYLVANIA 6SL7GT: The one I'm keeping, very detailed with great airy soundstage and good detail. Bass is a little soft but not necessarily less in quantity. Was the first owners main tube, so has lots of hours, don't want to sell.

RCA 5961: Great mids and quite laid back. Solid if trying to tame 800 but just way too much in the wrong direction for the 650. The specific tube had bad noise floor that wouldn't go away, returned it to Brent Jesse and got instead...

Tung Sol 6SU7GTY Brownbase: I only listened to this for two evenings, but it seemed pretty similar to the Sylvania above. Sylvania has way more hours on it and seems to resist my wifi interference the best of them all (need to move this router), so sold this one off instead

Yeah a guy on Headfi with a Mogwai, who I met at a meet, jumped on them quick. At least they're going to a good home!
