I need to do my list on that site, but it would take forever.

Couple quick recommends - 2 of my top of all time - D. Grayman and Hunter x Hunter (both original and 2011)

D-Grayman is an awesome manga (don't know much about the anime). The issue though is the release schedule has been a chapter a year it seems.

Yes, it is a problem. Even when it was being written the magazines had to hound the author to keep her on pace. She's taken several long breaks claiming injury, which could be true, but it is disappointing that the series is still so up in the air.

This actually reminds of the author who does Breaker New Waves and Berserk. I hate to have to go back and reread almost the whole manga again because you kind of forget what's going on and miss out on small details.

So, I checked out Aria the Avvenire in the theatres the other night. Really lived up to its hype as the "curtain call" of the franchise.

Received one of these for attending the screening (different characters are shown depending on which week you go). Apparently the Shinjuku cinema ran out for the Aria Company characters after my session.

I was enjoying Shokugeki no Souma at the beginning of this season, gave up half way, the only two I ended up chasing throughout are Charlotte and Overlord.

The manga was awesome I felt that they obviously put a lot of fan fare into Shokugeki no Souma. I finished Arslan Senki which I thought was great.

Wow, that's awesome! Aria is my favorite anime but I don't keep up with anime news, so I didn't even know about this. Thanks for the heads up! I got something similar when I went to the Madoka Rebellion showing in Manhattan.

    Edit:

The prices for the blu-ray boxes are ridiculous.

At the very least, I have the Aria the Natural Lithograph. I'll take a pic of it sometime.

Yeah, I finished the manga because of the anime so I lost interested in anime, also I grew tired of the voice acting. Arslan Senki is pretty good.
I watch anime based a lot on Seiyu cast, Prison School is pretty good because I am a fan of Hanazawa Kana.

That's for the Japanese box sets, which will always be really, really high. There's a good chance that the box sets will be brought into the states at a more reasonable price since it's fairly popular, but that probably won't happen for a good few years. I fully expect Aria the Avvenire to be available sometime not too long into the future.

I agree. Other than the *monogatari entry, not much stood out for me. Or maybe I'm just burned out on it for now.

Macross Saga is pretty good. I've watched every episode and movie.

My favorite scene is the absolutely epic entrance of the HWR-00 in Macross Zero.

These are some of my personal favorites (for manga) in no particular order, highly recommended:
    • Terra Formars
    • One Punch Man
    • Azamaru
    • Shigurui
    • Blade of the Immortal
    • Vagabond
    • Dorohedoro
    • Freesia
    • Black Joke
    • Innocent (by Sakamoto Shinichi)
    • Jin (by Motoka Murakami)
    • Hotel Harbour View
    • Eden (by Hiroki Endo)
*Oh and a little warning that most of these contain nudity and gore (because the plots were aimed at the more mature audience anyway), so yeah... just typing this in case some of us are offended by such.

** And stay away from Shigurui if you have weak stomach.

As for favorite manga: probably Berserk, even though Miura will likely never finish it. His art gets better as time goes on, at least.

Favorite anime: probably Tatami Galaxy or NGE (mostly because End of Eva is one of my favorite movies ever)
