Yeah I read your post above and thought about this. Let's see in a few months. If it's indeed a microphone and dirt issue, I just hope this will last me another year or so at least.

Word on the street is that the APP 2 will be released this year, probably with a quiet fix to this issue. It's very likely Apple is offering the service program for an underlying hardware issue that's not fixable in the current design.

I've also considered the Sony as an alternative, but the ease of use is the main reason why I use the APP. I had the Bose QC35 II, which has arguably better ANC and SQ, but I've since sold it because APP gets so much more use — mainly because of how quick it is to put it on or take it off without messing with Bluetooth pairing between any of my devices.

Wow I have this issue but was not aware about the recall. Thanks for sharing
So good to know that it covers for 3 years since the retail sell date .

This is why I will keep being an apple fanboy - I know they'll take care of me without too much fuss. Walk into a Samsung store and it's a horrid experience - I've usually been met with a grumpy no, wether it was light bleeding issue with my note 8, or just asking for some product information (usually they don't have a clue).

I didn't realize there was a known issue and a service program. Took mine in today, both failed Apple's testing, so they replaced them. I noticed that now the tool to check seal says I have a good fit, while I never could get that with my pair previously, regardless of tips used.

Do AirPods Pro peeps know of any replacement tips that are an upgrade from stock? I tried some Sednas and they were shit. No isolation.
