@Scott Kramer - I would be curious, but except for driving sub-woofers, my very tiny attempts at class D amps have always sounded like a ass too. Maybe not the best amp for sub-woofers either, but it makes sense there to be efficient, and how much detail is there anyway when driving a heavy mass (aka slow to react) ?

How about a take no prisoners no holds barred Class A Asgard 3 that sounds as good as a BW2 at $900 - $1000 price point. Could Schiit accomplish that (or even want to?)

Schiit has too many products right now. The Asgard should go into legacy status allowing Schiit to come up with something else that is new and ground breaking. It isn't required to have a product at every price point. There are enough combinations of Magni,Modi,Bifrost,Lyr, etc. that one could find something useful within a reasonable price range. Also, the Asgard 2 was one of the worst sounding headphone amps I've ever heard. Good riddance. Don't replace it with an Asgard 3 that only has headphone amp capabilities. There are enough products that have the functionality that the Asgard 2 has.

@Greg121986 - Just to avoid the boo's, I have bought many Schiit devices, but yea, I don't think we need yet another mediocre SS amp. Unless Schiit can do something with an Asgard that is a real stand-out offering, either at a price point, or something that is a sonic stand-out, I'd rather they spend their efforts on something that is a stand-out. They've covered the $99 price points well, and a lot of price points between TOTL gear too, with offerings that sound exceptionally good for the price.
