    Has anyone changed the pads on these? I found an interesting guide on youtube (excuse the usual youtube hype personality). Would love to find a more breathable pad for these that doesn't wonker up the FR.

    I need help getting started with WiFi Mode. I can't read small print and I'm a retard.

    There are two switch positions on the USB stick. What do they do? The Quick Reference Guide doesn't mention anything about this. I'm using Windows 10. Is there a driver I need to install?

    Wait, I found it under high magnification (cell phone camera). This is annoying. Why isn't the lettering in white print? I'm losing months off my lifespan right now.

    OK, finally figured out that Windows 10 recognizes the Penrose only after the headphone is turned on - 3 second press of the on button. I guess the volume dial was set to max on the headset - so my ears got blown out temporarily.

    Quick thoughts (WiFi - since this is it's primary feature):
    • Lows good, mids slightly cavernous
    • Highs a bit sharp and crispy (spotlit in mid-treble) but tolerable. Actually helps with definition.
    • Overall SQ is great for $300 compared to competition, e.g. Steel Series (yuck)
    • Clamp too hard (may not be good for Asian people with big heads) - too uncomfortable for me to seriously consider
    • Would have a like a little better precision with regards to directional placement / imaging / localization
    • Better - quite good for immersive stuff
    • Quick Start Guide would be better - no explanation on how to get WiFi mode working (switch positions and need to turn on headphone before Win 10 recognizes) [MY MISTAKE. LID FOR INSIDE BOX HAS A PICTURE OF THIS - REFERENCE CARD DOES NOT]
    • A direct mode to bypass the active electronics may have been a nice feature for audiophiles

    Not too bad, except maybe the higher third harmonic in the mids and highs. Lows are fantastic.

    They sound much better in Bluetooth mode. Can you listen to them that way? I don’t even like them on wifi mode. Too sharp. Bluetooth is sort of the opposite but I prefer that.

    would be cool to see measurements of the difference if you can

    If I remember correctly, they have a 3.5mm female jack and the Penrose incudes a 3.5mm - 3.5mm cable and you just plug them in. Audeze said it sounds the worst this way though. They sound the best with bluetooth. Wifi works, but sounds a bit sharp.
