Best program to rip CD's to FLAC files?

    +1 to dBpoweramp - it has quite a few useful features and gives solid rips.

    Is it ripping with EAC that makes it take that much time? (45-50 min)
    If you did it with dBpoweramp, would it be much faster? How much faster?
    Does Tag & Rename automatically attach the album art to the music files with click of a button?

    When Roon retrieves the full metadata, for EAC or XLD, does it attach it to the music files or does it just identify them and you have to do it yourself?

    Isn't Roon not free though and expensive?
    What would be a free alternative?

    That's too bad that Metadatics only correct some and you have to edit metadata by hand.
    Do you wish that you used another software that handles metadata better and saved time?

    If you used dBpoweramp in conjunction with Pioneer drive with Pure Read function (when it finds scratches, it re-reads them with laser pointing at different angles, I believe), could that make up for the lack of true secure mode in dBpoweramp?
