I've been building a lot of cables to see if I want to keep making cables in a more consistent and organized way. $5 local discount preloaded.

Cables for any headphone using mini-XLR connectors. These were experimental cables so they're discounted.

    1. 6' long cable sleeved with techflex up to the split and softer multifilament sleeving (like paracord) after the split. Made using 2-channel snake cable with OFC, trying it as an alternative to star-quad for quality, inexpensive cables. Star-quad is designed to be used differently than it is when wired for headphones, so I thought the snake cable, which has two separate pairs, would have better channel separation and performance. The downside is that the cable is a bit more substantial, as two separate pairs and filler takes up more room than 4 wires together. It's not overly heavy, and I may make more with this brand or others. The heat shrink on the 1/4" connector ended up a bit longer than ideal, so it effectively becomes a long plug, like an HD800's plug.

    2. 5.5' long braided cable made with PTFE-coated silver-plated copper wire and a cotton sleeve in a blue-purple-grey color. This sleeving ended up being slightly thicker than I was expecting, but it dyed well and if you like a natural look, it's satisfying. The braid and sleeving up to the headphone connectors gives this cable a nice, soft drape. There's one small imperfection in the braiding right at the 1/4" connector, and there is a tiny amount that the plug can wiggle in the housing. This is because I over-trimmed an internal plastic piece to fit the braid and the design of the connector requires tension to keep the body and the plug together. I made sure that all connections internally are secure and there's no danger of that tiny wiggle damaging anything or getting worse over time. If I didn't mention it, it's probably not something you'd notice, or maybe you'd notice it in several months.

6' long cable made for anything compatible with Sennheiser's 2-pin connector. PTFE-coated silver-plated copper wire, black cotton sleeving below the split. 1/4" gold-plated plug. The headphone connectors are marked R and L. The cotton is a woven natural fiber so it's slightly hairier than paracord, but it's also softer and less noisy.

Cable with HifiMAN's 2.5mm headphone connectors (or any other headphone that uses 2.5mm mono plugs), terminated with a 3.5mm plug. Just over 4.5' long. Wire is PTFE-coated, silver-plated copper and the connectors are all cryogenically treated and gold-plated by Plussound. The sleeving is hand-dyed cotton and is a cool gray.

    One more: Mr. Natural.

6' long, PTFEsilverplated copper, 4-pin connector, mini-XLRs at the headphone level, unbleached cotton sleeving. I recommend pairing it with vegan pads.
