As the title states, can anyone make Schiit product icons for Windows? For example, in Windows Control Panel under "Sound" you can choose different Icons for playback devices. I wanted to know if anyone was able to make Schiit Product Icons for this.

    See pics below:

Here are a few Bifrost Icons you can use that I found if you have a Bifrost:

I don't have a Windows box handy at the moment to do this, but to my knowledge that icon selection dialog (in the second picture) only works with icon resources embedded inside .dll files, or .exe executables. For example by default it'll load files from %systemroot%\system32\mmres.dll.

Making an .ico file is as @jdmasters described earlier (easy, it's just a renamed BMP). Embedding it inside a .dll is a little more troublesome; you can use icofx [0] or Visual Studio for this, apparently.

I'll see what I can do with VS actually...

Any way I can upload files directly to this site? Otherwise I'll upload it to a third party and link it in this post.

By the way, I made a .dll with a Bifrost icon. Not sure if that's what you want for your Gungnir Multibit but check if this works first, I guess.

    EDIT:

Check out https://my.mixtape.moe/cxupvz.dll (rename it to SchiitIcons or whatever floats your points) @The Alchemist

You will most likely have to navigate to this DLL file from the icon selection dialog in your second picture.

I have a bifrost icons already, (see my first post) - I was looking for a Gungnir Icon. And yes, you should be able to upload the icon file here in a post. Just click the "Upload File" button. If you do not have an Upload file button because you are ranked Rando, then it would have to be stored on a third party site.

Whoops, I see what you mean now. 256x256 ready BMP/ICO files.

    Fulla 2 aka not Fully*

    Modi Multibit aka Modi Multibit**
    [IMG]

    Gungnir (Multibit) aka Gungnir Multibit
    [IMG]

    Yggdrasil aka Yggdrasil

    * Schiit please make a portable multibit DAC/amp, I don't care what price it is, I want one
** It kind of bothers me that the Modis don't have the Schiit logo on top. I get that it's supposed to be stackable but the M on the top feels wrong when compared to Schiit's other DACs.

EDIT: added Modi Multibit and Yggdrasil
EDIT 2: added edit note and Fulla 2

    thank you @kitantisune

The reason the the Modi 2 does not have the Schiit Logo on top like the mid to higher-end Schiit porducts is because it costs extra money to silkscreen the Schiit logo on the chassis. So in order to keep the cost down on an incredible DAC such as the Modi 2 for the price, we did not do the silkscreen Schiit Logo. We also do not add the silkscreen logo on the smaller Schiit products to save money so we can make a better product for the price.
