CD vs LP Comparison (Same Release)

    While I agree the mastering/mixing of the RAM vinyl is different...

    a) The pressing quality on this one SUCKS, snap crackle pop city. They may have spared no expense about the production but they didn't give a shit about the pressing.
    b) Having listened to the digital version for so long I was not convinced the vinyl was necessarily a substantial improvement in any aspects

    Some dude some place wrote some article about b) as well.

    Well, I thought the vinyl master kicked the CD master's ass. And this is through an A-D conversion, and output via Youtube audio compression to Sony MA100 headphones.

    Yeah, mine is the same. I'm still seriously tweaking my TT setup, but I've compared the two and found the sound differences similar to the youtube video, except the low end sounded less defined on my TT, though I think that's my setup currently. But there are lots of pops and clicks, even though the vinyl looks pristine. Gonna wash it again and do some comparisons thru headphones this time.

    I just put this on yesterday. The bass sounds fantastic, so I'm gonna guess it's your setup.

    The pops and such I think one can get out with some good cleaning.
