    Would doing so negate any difference between running the V2+ off battery vs usb power? I know there is lots of skepticism (whether valid or not is another question) regarding driving the HD650 from a portable source. If the V2+ could pull it off as well as the Magni 2+.... That would be saying a lot.

    LOL, no. That would defeat the point of some of the devices, i.e. portability.

    GOV2+ doesn't have the battery.

    Ordering JDS Element. Listened to a lot of the stuff last night with my wife. We have lots of notes so I feel comfortable adding more to the comparison.

    I just checked the LH Labs page. (http://marketplace.lhlabs.com/products/geek-out-v2-usb-dac-headphone-amplifier) Pretty sure the V2+ has the 3100 mAh battery. Maybe I was wrong thinking it was for amplification. Is it only to prevent noise like the Wyrd does? I've never owned a GO, but are you thinking of the V2?

    indeed GOV2+ does have the battery. been using GOV2+Infinity for many weeks and today.

    GOV2 does not have battery.
    GOV2 Infinity does not have battery.

    I hope to nab a GOV2 Infinity one day and plug it into a Regen on my desk and see how superb it might be.

    Want to see Geek Pulse Infinity against some other DACs, preferably Schiit. I am not sure how many people can get hold of one but I am just curious.

    Yeah but then you are essentially reviewing your test device's potentially crappy USB power output rather than the device at hand. My ODAC sounds very good out of my Thinkpad T series and powered USB hub; awful out of my mother's Best Buy consumer craptop that she keeps on her kitchen table. I would check everything USB powered out of the Wyrd and your test laptop's stock USB (with ferrite-beaded cable if it is cabled. I've found this to matter a lot with USB audio stuff).
