Tons of surface noise on these LPs. Probably wont be buying "picture disks" again. The vinyl surface actually looks matte, so maybe that's an indicator. Otherwise, fantastic album. Tool - Lateralus

Always cautious about remasters of golden oldies but bought the remaster of Joni's 1976 Herija - Fremer said it was better than the original. Used the partly modded D/V and Beyer DT990 premium cans - he was right - Joni right beside me and Jaco's bass coming and going like some kind of audio wizard.

The postie just delivered the Speaker's Corner 2015 analogue remastered version of Caravanserai - going back to the 70s (again? yes) I'll let you know how it sounds when I re-emerge.

    Gomez - Bring It On [1998 / 2018 reissue]
Brilliant album, and an excellent reissue from Virgin, pressed at MPO, sounds wonderful.

Btw, this is a UK reissue of Bring It On, but I've heard the USA will be getting one soon as well :)

That's kind of a weird photo, looks like there should be an ashtray full of smoldering cigarette butts in there somewhere, but it's the content that counts. Rhiannon Giddens, of Carolina Chocolate Drops, MacArthur Award winner, all over the web. Etc. Just fantastic. This record: music 9, sound 8, pressing 6-7. She's great.

Dan Hicks, 'Where's The Money'. I don't know if this has ever been reissued but it doesn't matter, my original copy has been played approximately One Million Times and it still sounds great. Yes, some surface noise, but the dynamics, detail, and pure fun of this live recording overcomes any ticks and tacks that may come through. No matter your musical persuasions, this should be part of your collection, if only to lift your spirits when you're feeling blue. You can not hear 'How Can I Miss You When You Won't Go Away' without feeling better about your station in life. Sadly Mr. Hicks drank himself out of a long term recording career, but by god he'll always have this as an off kilter masterpiece.

Found this gem five days after RSD, the only thing on my wish list I wasn't able to pick up on the day. Very chuffed!

It worked great, thanks for asking. I edited my post in the other thread since I had the last post.

I'm really glad you didn't attempt the 'glue' technique-that just seems like last-chance desperation.

Found the last thing on my RSD 2018 list, and at a not-too-horrific price. Guitar isn't my favourite jazz instrument, but this and the "Slick!" Grant Green releases are excellent and very funky...

Also spinning an album from RSD 2017. Some incredible blowing on this one...

Arrived today. I already had wav files from bandcamp but I liked the album enough to order the vinyl too. Glad I did. Rockin' spacegaze.

^those Atlantic labels were so sweet, green/orange was stereo, and like red/purple for mono or something right?

Dunno off hand. Alot of the Atlantic stuff I have of the time (mostly prog rock stuff) is the green/orange.

Between the Buried and Me - Automata I. I picked this up recently. I had no idea it was a colored vinyl (description didn't say either way) so I'm pretty stoked on it. It sounds absolutely incredible, and it looks really interesting on my acrylic platter. The album itself is fantastic, I've had the CD for a few months and it's easily my favorite progressive metal album this decade, and part II comes out July 13th!
