Do I have a bad output tube?

I am the third owner of an ECBA with KR PX-4 tubes. My phones are HD800's. Yesterday at our meet I connected
a pair of Ethers to try, and noticed a serious channel imbalance. I tried some other low-impedance 'phones with
the same results. When I switched the PX-4's, the imbalance followed. The problem is with both dynamic and
    planar 'phones.

There is no imbalance with my 800's though, and the sound is still glorious, so I'm assuming that the low impedance
cans are putting too much load on the 'bad' tube? Any thoughts?

As you might imagine, the thought of losing my PX-4's is quite disconcerting. :( If they are going south,
    any recommendations for replacements?

Thanks in advance for any help.
