Long overdue donation just sent, been a member since 2016(?) when I was a poor college student scrapping pennies for IEMs. Think I joined mainly because shotgunshane is the man and got me on the Noble 4 when I was first looking for a "good" IEM, really opened me up to how much detail I was missing with cheap headphones and earphones, so I got Savannah shortly after for the smoother treble, then late 2016 is when I made the big leap and bought an Andromeda, then a ZX2, and that basically killed my interest in audio for a moment because it sounded so good and I could listen to anything for hours on it. Now just recently, I took another leap and got an Ara, and now I'm having more fun with that through an iphone than I did with the ZX2/andro combo! Hit after hit, I don't think there's any other forum I trust more, brutally honest and sometimes crass, but that's what makes SBAF so special to me. No BS, no measurement authoritarianism, just a good blend of objectivity and subjectivity with a little humor thrown on top. Really helps you form your own opinions and has probably saved me thousands by not giving in to hype-fi. I don't even need contributor or friend status, this is just what I feel is owed after all everyone has done for me here, Patreon sounds like a good idea too if I can figure that out!

Thanks for existing SBAF, hope it's here for a long time, and if I ever decide to venture out of my IEM/portable bubble, this is the first place I'll turn to for opinions and advice. Wish the best for every single member on here! Hope your 2023 is bountiful with booty!

Just did a donate via PayPal (didn’t copy the transaction id). Didn’t do the patroon thingus… It’s under my full name and my registered email, etc. (to speed your internet “check”: I’m also Bowmoreman on CloudyNights (astronomy forum), where I’ve been a moderator (thankless job, that) in the past.
