    Hey all,

I'm getting ready to make a move so I'm clearing my gear out and collapsing down to what I found was my favorite setup -- a dac made by MisterRogers, a Sonic Frontiers SFD-1, DNA Stratus and HD650/HD800. That means everything else has to go. Looking for USA buyers for all of these and shipping is included while paypal isn't. I am not the original owner of any of these items, but all have been well taken care of and used in no smoking, no pets homes. The only item I'd be willing to trade for or outright buy if you have one is a Schiit Magni 2U so that I don't have to burn through 2A3s every time I want decent sound from my comp.

    Here's what's up for sale:

Eddie Current Zana Deux T ($1600) - Sold

The Zana Deux T is a rare OTC version of the Zana Deux with the partial silver wound transformer upgrade and upgraded caps. This version features speaker outs on the rear instead of a preamp out and produces 8 WPC. A user compared the ZDT and ZDS and said the quoted below. Tubes included will be the power tubes, Sylvania 5751 GB, GE 5751WA Triple Mica, Brimar 12AX7, Raytheon 12AX7 Windmill Getter, and new production Tesla and Sovtek 12AX7s. $1600 for this amp and the tubes which costed me over $250 to obtain.

A user was able to compare both the ZDT and ZDS and said, "I've been lucky to compare both the ZDS (Super) and ZDT and to my ears, they offer a similar level of performance with the ZDS being slightly more lusher while the ZDT is faster/tighter bass".

EDIT: 6/30 - some more detailed on the ZDT - The cap and partial silver wound transformer upgrades come from the factory by Eddie Current. This amp has not been modded. I don't know how many hours on the power tubes but they're showing no signs of slowing down and the 12AX7s were purchased last year.

EDIT: 7/13 - Here's a brief summary that I wrote in a later post on what exactly the ZDT is/can do "Basically from what I've read it's functionally a normal ZD + speaker outs + better low impedance headphone functionality. I've used it with LCD-2s and HD800s alike and found it to pair very well with both bringing some tightness on the low end and clarity to help out the LCD-2s and adding the slightest hint of warmth to the HD800s to help out with the treble. I'd say it's a very neutral amp in the sense of being just warm enough to take the edge out of things without sounding more liquid like a Stratus while still keeping a lot of tightness/impact. I think that makes it very flexible in terms of pairings."

The current pricing of $1600 w/ shipping incl. and paypal to the buyer is final. If it doesn't move at this price, I'm not selling. Please do not contact me with any offers below this price point. The only trade I'd be willing to receive contact about would be for a Schiit Magni 2U.

Stock Hifiman HE-6 and Extra Cables ($800) -- SOLD

Included will be the HE-6, 2 cables terminated in 4 pin XLR, a XLR to 1/4 adapter, an XLR to speaker taps adapter, booklet, and the original box. The lock/latch on the box is damaged so it will not latch shut but everything else is in great condition.

I haven't been around here often lately, but I bought the ZDT from this community and I'd like some of this stuff to remain in it. Since some users may not know who I am, here's a link to my head-fi seller feedback to quell any concers you may have

Please feel free to comment or dm me if you're interested in any of the items listed or have any questions.

    Thanks!

I can't believe the Zana Deus & HE-6 have been available for so long. There usually is a queue of people lining up within hours of posting them.

Hi. Can you tell us a little more about the amp. Hard to find any info on the OTL version. For example, what headphones does it pair well with? Low impedance headphones OK with it? Are you aware of any reviews of the OTL version that might go into pairing details?

    Opps, OTC, not OTL. Thanks.

ZDT is OTC, not OTL. The OTL version of the amp is ZD(SE/S) which has a ton of info on it in various threads.

So I need to either clear this before I move or hold onto it so I've made a final price drop and added a post with the info from the above post to the OP.

Are the speaker output and headphone output the same?

Is the TRS headphone output the same as the dual XLRs?

Speaker outs are in the rear. They're the four posts in the back pictured. The headphone out is the 1/4 in the front. The dual XLRs are a 3 pin xlr output that you can use if you have such cables for your headphones. 1/4 and 3 pin XLR are your 2 headphone out options. No point in using a XLR to speaker tap cable since it produces the same power output from the posts as it does from the HP outs.

I am really surprised this hasn't sold. This is a better version of the ZD - it has transformer outputs and can power speakers.

Me too, I am surprised it hasn't sold at such a good price. I have a feeling the ZDT would be able to drive my HE1000 V2 sufficiently. I am actually somewhat interested in this, although I'm hesitant due to the fact that it is probably 100-120V US voltage version. And I know that grumpy old Craig no longer takes kindly to people who request voltage conversion service, even at a price. If voltage conversion to 220-240V is possible, I would consider it even at $1700.

I'm pretty sure its OTC design makes it a better match with a low-impedance, low-sensitivity planar than ZDS, but does it hold its own against more affordable yet powerful amps like Mjolnir 2?

"Getting a 110V=> 220V converter works the same or better than asking me for a voltage conversion, because it likely adds some filtering." That's what Craig told some friend about the conversion. It also ends up being cheaper and safer because less transportation.

Sorry, one more question. The balanced out in the front for headphone; is the amp balanced, or are those just there for convienience? Is the output from the 1/4" different than from the two 3pin outputs?

Just for convenience. The amp is not balanced. Same output from all outs.
