    Up for sale is the 2.3SE that I purchased from Tommy a few months ago. Love the DAC to death as its the most organic and true life sounding DAC I have owned. I am currently cutting back to some lower (and footprint) gear that is a bit less open to modifying sound through tube or component rolling.

    Only change from when Tommy owned this beauty is the replacement of the tube clock capacitor with a "better" one to really enrich the sound profile.

    The DAC is in excellent condition and comes with a good assortment of tube to roll through.

    I know this is a long shot, but would you consider putting this on a brief loaner tour before selling? I've always wanted to hear an Abbas DAC, but not to the point where I'd consider a blind purchase. If not, please take no offense!

    I would buy this if I had the funds. To date the best DAC I have personally heard. Powerful, textured, killer macrodynamics, compelling microdynamics, perfect tone. Also quite a chameleon of a device, it will play back songs just as they were mastered. Highly highly recommended.

    If no one wants it, I'd say we purchase it with SBAF funds* (saving for that Yamaha planar, but we still have to wait for that) and it put on loaner.

    *BTW, thanks for the increase in donations. We can afford to get some good stuff, but I want to be super selective about the funds to at least get interesting stuff.

    It's funny. A couple of weeks ago I was telling a friend of mine that I was happy with my current dacs (Metrum Pavane L3 and SFD-1 mk2) and I wasn't following dac stories. But this dac keeps sucking me in. So far, I am resisting, but I can't say what will happen if my AR ES-1 sells.
