    I heard this recording today. It's probably the best female vocals I've heard and also possibly the best rendition of Moon River. Enjoy.

    Love Carolina Chocolate Drops's 'Genuine Negro Jig' album. Especially the 2 tracks below.

    Hmm, some great female vocalists here - Beth Hart, Tori Amos, Natalie Merchant - of course Janis Joplin and Stevie Nicks.

    I'll kick in a few from my YT faves

    This one is not really my style of music, but amazing nonetheless;

    And I think Amy Lee is underrated as a vocalist...

    I've been avoiding this thread, because now I'm going to have to go back & listen to so many damn songs it's not funny.

    So many of my favorites have been shared already...amazing thread.

    I'll throw a couple out there... Sia was only mentioned once that I saw. I know it's been a bit overplayed, but what she does in this song moves me every damn time.

    Add a bunch of cool songs from movies...so many great artists I've discovered from the closing credits. This one from Spirited Away always gets me too...

    Gosh, I just don't know where to start with this artist. So many great songs to choose from.

    Did a quick search and didn't see Storm Large and Pink Martini:

    This one is great (vaguely Dead Can Dance):

    Wow, just scrolled through this thread and didn't see so many...they're rushing through my brain now.

    First up, Joss Stone @ 17. They didn't think anyone would take her seriously because of her age, so they low-lit and hid her face on the cover.

    Can't believe nobody's mentioned Chrissie Hynde! Her voice and phraseology is so amazing. Though known as the lead for The Pretenders, I particularly like Spiritual High from the first Moodswings album (great album BTW).

    For something completely different, Lzzy Hale does a great job fronting Halestorm.

    This remix of Bebel Gilberto is on the Ultra Chilled 03 CD (many nice downbeats there).

    I shall try to calm my brain now, and post others later.
