Is this a simple super glue job to re-seat this? I haven't ever seen this happen before and a Google search turned up nothing. Any ideas?

Use this as an excuse to hardwire your HD800s.

No connector, no problem. Plus you can alleviate any concerns you may or may not have had regarding the angel hair wire between the connector and driver.

Any idea where to find instructions on disassembling the Hd800? I'd hate to tear into it incorrectly and permanently damage it.

    How I did it:
    1. Pull off the pads. The more often you do this, the easier it gets.
    2. Look at it from the front. Pull the silver plastic towards you a bit, so the clips in the black plastic cage get off easier. The outer silver plastic ring is slightly flexible but do not use too much force. Press on the black plastic. The black and silver plastic should now seperate and the silver outer plastic ring comes off. This should be pretty easy so do not use too much force. I don't think that the plastic tabs will break off. I already did this a few times with mine and nothing got damaged.
    3. Once the outer ring is off, you can now see the cable connector area and the tiny cables. Hopefully the white plastic tab is in there somewhere. Put the plastic tab on the cable connector again. You will also see that the silver outer plastic part has a sticky sticker on the inside at the cable connector area. Maybe this is supposed to hold the plastic tab in there.
    4. Put the outer plastic part on the inner driver cage again. I like to put the back on first and then press on the front slightly. It should click once it's on there.
I don't think you will have to disconnect the cable to do this. Should be pretty easy.
