SOLD my Akitika GT-102 speaker amp I purchased in April of this year based on recommendations here at SBAF. Mint shape, warmed it up for two days and used it in an amplifier shoot out. IMO its very good and exceptionally good for the price. People around here know what they're buying so I wont hype it any more than that.

See technical details at https://www.akitika.com/akitikastore.html#GT-102A , there's also a thread on it around here.

I purchased this assembled and tested from Atikita. It has the gold-plated RCA inputs, NO volume control. Price assembled from Akitika is $516 with shipping, I will sell this for $400 to friends and contributors. Price includes shipping to CONUS, buyer pays any PP fees.

Note you can also buy DIY parts from Akitika for $350 shipped so lower cost options are available.

Classic 'whatever SS amps I had around':

    Akitika GT-102
    FirstWatt F3
    Dual Odyssey Kismet monos
    Benchmark AHB2
Classe Omega (dual mono blocks in a single chassis)

Used a Sonic Frontiers SFCD1 into a Hattor Audio passive pre, into amps and out to PAP Trio 15s, in a big room.

The Akitika struggled a bit to control the woofers at high volumes compared to the Kismets and Classe, otherwise did very well, it could be a daily driver if I didn't have the higher-end amps around. The F3 took a JFET dump on everything I put through it. Odyssey Kismets were a bit growly, clearly by the designers choice, excelled at most everything else. More than the others, Kismets would be an acquired taste but very impressive. Benchmark was a bit thin compared to everything but the F3, less at the bottom and pushed more at the top. Very neutral, very competent but not my sound.

Classe Omega was the clear winner. Top end is a bit rolled off but everything else is there, neutral but amazingly full palette, digs deep, etc. Perfect control of the PAPs even at high volumes but I expect that at 450 wpc into 8ohms. Even if I had the strength to move a 250 lb amp I think I'd keep it.

Given that used Kismets cost ~ 7 times as much as the assembled Atikita and a used Omega costs at least 9 times as much if you can find one, I think the Atikita did very well. For speakers with smaller woofers than the 15 inchers I tried it on I think it's an excellent budget choice.

    awesome thanks!
so despite being very efficient, the PAP arent made for low power PP or SET tubes then?

I ve read that any chip amp like the akitika are really not suited for ard loads or speakers that are 4 ohm in parts of tis passbands.

They react much better with power than without, yes. I have tried them with Woo 5, Aficionado, and Moth 2A3Si, none of which was acceptable to me.
