I was chatting to ZeroD the other day and I realized that I have reached a point of silliness once again and needed to take stock of the boxes under beds and shoved into basement shelves. I know a few people who have gone through an audio catharsis and thrived in the bliss that some other sod now has to squirrel away more gear ;)

It has taken a few days to actually get over my inner voice screaming at me , so pretty much everything is potentially on the block , seems like a few people have gone down this path recently.

I have a few DIY amps - these are interest checks and I would prefer someone with local interest as leaving these at the mercy of UPS/FEDEX concerns me a little. Friends are welcome to come and audition them too.

There are some ortho collectors bits which I will let go to a true planar head but don't want to seem them flipped

    Fit Ear TG334 IEMs : $900 SOLD

    Westone UM 20 : $125

    Paradox $300

Hard wired, balanced , left channel occasionally needs a kick start - I think the diaphragm gets pulled to one side but driving them at full volume for a few seconds fixes it - have done this since I got them. I just know that I will miss these and may regret being foolish

    Orthos:

    Yamaha : YH100 or YHD1, YH2, HP50
    Fostex: T20v1 , T10
Russian: TD16 - both flavors ( Kiev and Smela )

    Rare stuff:
Russian - Amfiton H25C = hens teeth and expensive
Leak 3000 = Wharfdale ID2 ( a smaller version of the Fostex/NAD driver but in a Princess Leah headband)
Zebrawood Wharfedales ~ ID1 ( ala Tyll DIY section - the headband has disintegrated so I will need to figure this out if there is any interest in these odd balls )

    LH GOV2+ : $200. Sold

    + set of balanced cables

My silliest audio purchase - sounded like a great idea as I love my GO450 ( still do ) but just never use anything portable. Excellent sound and has never tried to fall apart on me even though it had initially been used reasonably often in desktop mode.

DIY AMP: interest check - prefer local sale

    Stacker : $ 750 - SOLD

this is the final version before Alex created CA and is pretty much a glass. This is probably the hardest of all - there is a reason my glass sits covered under the bed, this amp just does things right but there is a very real attachment to the glass #001 which has me wrangling internal demons.

The amp uses a startup timer, dual mono rails for the LV , ampohm copperfoil coupling caps and TKD pot.

BoozeHound MC JFET phono pre ~ 30dB of gain ( no longer available as a kit ) : $75 ( 1/2 of build cost )

    On extended loan

For those unaware - boozehoundlabs is on sabatical and what is left is being sold through amazon
With bypass switch - this allows you to connect it inline with an MM pre and easily switch out MM/MC carts

A small bump and adding this for anyone who is interested.

    https://www.usaudiomart.com/details/649462662-linn-klout-serial-number-4582/

Friends only and naturally there will be pricing accommodation

    Linn Klout Serial number 4582

A little background on the Linn Klout amps:

These amps went through several iterations throughout the manufacturing history, sonic upgrades if you like. Anything less than 1800 is probably not worth consideration as the board itself was compromised and Linn would just replace both channels boards if they were sent back for servicing. The first major change was in the late 2700 series ( 1994 ish), the next in the mid 3500 series and the final at 5000 series.

The Klouts worth looking for are > 4000 series as the change to reduce the intermittent buzz occurred around 3790. The primary difference between the 5000 series and this amp is the output connectors – banana vs BFA.

This 4582 series was made in 1998. It was fully serviced, all caps replaced with audiograde modern equivalents, deoxit on all contact points and has worked flawlessly for the 2 years that I have owned it.

Linn Klout is still highly regarded as a high end amplifier, the original intention was for tri-amped / quad-amped active speaker systems with specially made “Aktiv” filters which inserted into the Klout to limit it’s frequency response to the desired driver in the Linn Keltik

I still love the sound of this amplifier, it is very fast, has clean deep bass and well articulated / detailed highs and very realistic mids. So why am I letting it go? I have gotten to the point where I have too many amps and I lean more to the less accurate but ever so addictive sound of high Class A Mosfet amps and have a PASS SIT amp on the way. It does an excellent job with either my Selah Veritas (ribbon based monitors) or my 0.7i Maggies.

This is a very clean example of this amp and will not need anything done for at least another 10 years.

    The original specs : 80W into 8 ohm / 160W into 4

This is a seriously good amp BTW, only letting it go because I am developing a complex about how much gear is starting to gather again

I will be posting in the DIY forum sometime about the new PASS SIT amp but if anyone wants to start reading

    https://www.diyaudio.com/forums/pass-labs/326536-sissysit.html

I have picked up 2 sets of THF51 from 2 different sources, if both test within spec , I would be open to letting one set go to interested parties.
