FS: Code-X and HD-800 (SDR, rug liner and cork mods)

Turns out, I still have too many headphones. Both of these are pretty special, so it is time to find them new homes where they will be used more often.

Prices are for Friends and non-rando Contributors and do not include shipping. I will eat any PayPal fees. My preference is for sales in the continental U.S., but I will accept international sales since shipping is not included in the price.

Code-X - $1,200 - PRICE DROP TO $995
This super rare headphone is based on the most recent HE-5 re-release and was modded to Code-X specifications by none other than the legendary @LFF.

I purchased the stock headphones new in April 2018 for $599. The headphones were shipped directly to LFF for modding, along with the EF100 that they came bundled with (which I requested that LFF dispose of for me).

Modding by LFF cost $900 and was completed in September 2018. At that time, I ordered the 10 ft 4-pin XLR terminated cable new from Forza AudioWorks for $399. I added the female 4-pin XLR to speaker taps cable (4ft) for $89 a month later.

These headphones come with everything seen in the last picture below (except the Woo headphone stand), including the stock pads and the stock wood cup surrounds (these can be swapped with the stock plastic cup surrounds).















Modded HD-800 - $500 - SOLD
These headphones come with the with SDR, rug liner and cork mods, all of which I installed myself. These mods are completely reversible if desired, and as many on this forum can attest to, they make the headphones sound much better.

I purchased these headphones used in September 2017 for $750. Later that month, I purchased the Sennheiser CH 800 S cable (included in this sale) new for $299.

The headphones come with everything shown in the last picture (except the Woo headphone stand), including both sets of Sennheiser cables and the stock dust covers.

Was just thinking over the weekend that I should have bought a pair when they were selling between 600 to 700.

 

Holy crap! Bargain! I remember someone was looking for one, calling them ... Doh, too late.

One minor point. The rug liner doesn't look like the "official" SBAF-approved material, if I'm not mistaken.
