    ER4S as new in box with original accessories and an extra pack of red filters. Etymotic diffuse field tuning at its best. IEMs that scale. $115.

    ER4SR as new in box with original accessories. Maybe have 20 hours use, because ER4S is better. $150. SOLD.

    ER2SE as new in box with original accessories. Not as resolving as the ER4 series, but apparently the ER2 series avoids the 'plasticy' timbre of Etymotic BAs. $50. SOLD.

    All sets will be minus one pair of triple flange tips that were used, and the monitors will be thoroughly cleaned.

    FWIW I found the various foamies out there (Comply etc.) mitigate the extreme insertion somewhat...YMMV of course.

    MORE INFO: for the uninitiated, ER4S have more impedance than most IEMs at 100ohm which makes them suitable for use with a lot of desktop amplifiers. Like the true gear spaz that I am, I used to throw the ER4S on big boy amps straight away to check for minute channel imbalance at 7 o'clock, otherwise inaudible hiss/hum or any other obsessive infraction I could think of. Along the way I had brief moments of joy, when I ignored the gear and listened to the music, leading me to appreciate how well these IEMs can scale, assuming you are at peace with diffuse field tuning.
