Selling my essentially new pair of ER4SR complete with all original packing, box, tips, etc. Total use time used less than an hour. Includes original receipt so you can use warranty if needed. Warranty good through 1/24/2019

Asking $240 net ($220 for friends). No PayPal (I accept Google Wallet, check, and several other options)

Not to crap your thread too much, but I’m interested to know why you are moving these after only 1 hour? If it’s fit related then persistence pays off.

ER4SR are a great monitor. While they have a fairly modest soundstage, imaging is precise and music is portrayed in a very natural manner. They are easily driven and isolation is as good as it gets.

I would take them over anything else up to Andromeda level (EDIT: apart from a well driven ER4S with red filters).

I have long used a different Etymotic (hf5) for gym and love the fit and light weight, but started to grow resentful of their lack of detail and somewhat wonky FR response. I thought ER4-SR would be the solution.

Yes, the ER4SR frequency response is superior and detail is excellent—but turns out the (1) the cable is too long for practical gym use, and (2) I realized only after buying that for gym music I want a bass-rich headphone rather than a neutral headphone. In virtually every other setting where I want to listen I can use my full size headphones. So these wound up getting no use and need to find a new home.

I’ve wondered if that might do it with a custom cable. I’d like to hear ER4XR, and would even trade if it worked out.

Ah shit sorry, this has become an advice thread! ER3XR might be worth a look too as it comes with a shorter cable.

Perhaps we should just let @skem sell his headphones!
