Life has gotten me re-prioritizing things and I am resetting this hobby once again. The lucky acquisition of the iFi Micro iDSD BL is really all I need along with my 2 favorite headphones (for now), so everything else is going up for sale. Prices include CONUS shipping and fees and are targeted at Friends, maybe Contributors, no Randos for now. CONUS shipping only. All sales at my discretion. Everything is at least second hand, works as intended, and is in good cosmetic shape. In general, shipping might take a few days extra to coordinate due to current conditions. PM for details or pics.

I will consider selling to Randos if you have good trader feedback elsewhere. Shipping costs will be on the buyer instead of included for Friends.

PS. I will have a big cable/accessories/DIY sale soon once I catalog everything.

    HEADPHONES

SOLD!! HE560 - $200 – I think these are V2, with 2.5mm plugs and wood trim. These come with an extra set of pad attachments and a basically brand new set of ZMF Eikon leather pads. There is currently some rugliner in front of the driver, but it is easily removed.

SOLD!! HD650 - $100 – Comes with clean, but very dead pads. No headband pad. No cables. These are M modded (only real difference from KISS mod is no circle cut from front foam).

    AMPS

SOLD!! ECP L2 w/Cinemag transformers - $875 - Got this wonderful, rare amp for a market-breaking price here so will pass along the deal as best as I can. This one did not come with Cinemag transformers, so I got a set from Doug and installed them ($230). I’d like to recover some of that cost if I can. No idea on how much life is left in the tubes, but there are 2 extras of unknown condition in the box. Replacements can be had for reasonable amounts. This is one of the best amps I have heard with my modded HD800s. Some minor dings, scratches, and spots. I will take offers on this one, but lowball offers will be ignored.

SOLD!! DIY Pass WHAMMY - $175 – Nice, well-rounded amp. Built into a Hammond case with wood sides screwed on. Nice big knob. Looks very DIY. I built mine with a shorting ¼” jack that disables the preamp output. Probably have $250 invested with materials and a bunch of opamps to roll, but since it is DIY and I can provide no warranty beyond a non-DOA, significantly discounted. Preferably goes to a tinkerer. Pics of outside and guts in the WHAMMY thread.

    DACS

SOLD!! Modi Multibit V2 - $160 – Got it fairly recently here from a good Friend. Great condition. Great DAC.

SOLD!! Theta DSP Pro Basic II - $250 – Very nice DAC for a very nice price as far as I can tell. Fantastic bass, good midrange, slightly tilted up treble. I like it more than my Modi Multibit in many ways, though it might not layer as well. Is huge and heavy. SE and Balanced out. Two spdif inputs.

Since someone already asked some questions via PM, I want people to understand that the Micro iDSD BL is nowhere near as good as the ECP L2 fed by either of the DACs for sale. It just so happens to be good enough that I can be happy and redirect my hobby money. While I got this for free due iFi and SBAF generosity via the raffle, I think if you need the portability and will use the various switches, etc., it is very hard to beat value wise. As a straight AIO for desktop use with full sized headphones, at retail price, I don't know if the value holds as strongly, as I think it is more on par with a small Schiit stack, depending on the sound you like. If you can get one used near $400, I think it holds up. I use the bass boost alot more than I thought I would, so that has been a little bonus for me.

I fully understand - knowing what you need to satisfy you vs. chasing a dragon. I wish it had RCA input instead of 3.5mm input and a dedicated power supply vs. battery. I always worry about batteries and what happens when that product is no longer made.

How did you manage this? ... :p

The micro iDSD (I have the silver OG) is a great "good enough" device, and is an audio Swiss Army Knife making it handy enough for me to hang onto mine.

    GLWS!

It's mainly intended for use as a DAC/preamp or AIO, so real estate was limited and they went for RCA outputs rather than inputs. An RCA-to-3.5mm TRS adapter should work fairly well. It comes with a short male-male 3.5mm cable to double amp your phone or DAP. As for battery death, I'm sure somebody has run across this on HF and you can probably find info in the relevant thread. When my battery is fully drained, the device is unresponsive until it reaches a minimum charge, after which it will power on and can be run off USB power while it continues to charge.* My guess is that short of complete failure, the battery will always be able to hold enough charge for it to run off USB power. I tried removing the screws to see if I could access the internals and wasn't able to get it open. So replacing the battery yourself might not be that easy. As long as iFi is still around, I would think they could do a battery replacement.

*Just found this which says it will draw current from the battery with 500mA USB power in Normal/Turbo, but can charge and play simultaneously with a high-power USB hub.

Should you decide to open it up to randos, I'd definitely be interested in that WHAMMY ...

EDIT: As of a couple minutes ago, I'm a contributor :)

I will now consider selling to Randos with feedback elsewhere. Shipping costs will on the buyer, though.

@shotgunshane or other mods, could you please change thread title to just Hifiman HE-560, as that is all that is left. Thanks!
