So, despite being "done" last year I managed to acquire a bunch more stuff. With the L2 and incoming Gungnir Multibit, I am "done" again and need to reclaim some funds. These are open to anyone, but is at my discretion to sell. All prices are USD, include shipping in CONUS tracked and insured (no international for now), and only regular Paypal (non-gift).

SOLD Cavalli SOHA II (DIY) - A really nice DIY design from Cavalli. Board was stuffed by JamesL on Headfi (very good DIYer), tested and cased up by our own, extremely generous dBel84 (https://www.superbestaudiofriends.org/index.php?threads/soha-ii-thoughts.7606/). It comes with a switch for 6V and 12V tubes so you can have a lot of fun tube rolling. The sound changes noticeably with different tubes, but it consistently has a nice thick bottom end. Not the last word in definition or air with the tubes I have tried, but a really enjoyable listen with my HD800s. Comes with a practically brand new pair of EH 12AU7s and a pair of RCA 6CG7s. $150 $125 SOLD ($50 of this will be donated to SBAF in honor of dBel84's generosity).

MCTH - SOLD Bought several months ago from Crazychile and listened to it for maybe 5 hours total as I got the L2 right afterwards. Very good condition and no scratchy pot. Comes with a Siemens 6922 I got from Phantaminum when my stock tube broke. Comes in original packaging. $150 SOLD

Schiit Vali 2 - SOLD Original version in very good condition. Comes with a mystery Russian tube (stock?), a Russian ECC88 (untested), and an EH 6CG7 which sounds great. Also comes with one of those dots to reduce the brightness of the light. $120 SOLD

Box of DIY history - SOLD I don't feel like parting out any more so here is a box of DIY amps that I inherited. They all were plugged in and worked without immediately blowing up my headphones. I make no promises that they will or won't do the same. I think all of these were built by JamesL on Headfi.

    Millet Starving Student
    AMB Mini3
    PIMETA

PPAV2 with built in AMB gamma dac (dac untested). This one has a switch for bass boost, but nothing connected to it. Not sure what it would take to get it up. Other than that, one of the single nicest DIY builds I have seen.

They all sound quite good and could easily be used in a secondary station, or they can be salvaged for parts or go out on loaner or in a museum. $150 ($50 going to SBAF) SOLD

PPAV2 might still be one of the best portable amps. Some seriously good gear at crazy prices. And from a nice guy too, if I didn't have to clear out my museum, it would be tempting.

There are some nicks and scratches that don't show up well in the pictures, but given the DIY nature and the age of these amps, nothing out of the ordinary. I can include some fresher RCA jacks if someone DIY inclined wants to update any of these.

This is a good deal on those DIY boxes. Way less than parts, built, and likely work great. They certainly look great from the outside at least for DIY builds. The Millet Starving Student is even in a smaller box than I would have guessed.

The PPA V2 alone is worth more than the box.

For those who don't k ow this amp

This is still excellent design by today's standards. Yes it is a chip driving a discrete buffer but very well implemented and that diamond buffer will still power most headphones.

Damn, I am even talking myself into this ;)

Just for historical interest and to let folk know what a seriously good deal this is..

This was the beginning of an era in headphone amplifiers when people really started to look at the potential beyond opamps for headphones. ( the name SOHA came from simple opamp hybrid amplifier, as the original SOHA was just that) There were a handful of commercial offerings around at the time but these diy amps were the catalyst for much of the enthusiasm that followed. This amp is a really solid design with great sonic value, not the best possible but it started to look at higher voltage B+ for the tubes (most designs were running around 12V at the time) with some solid state biasing and sonically clean buffered class A output. I still have one of these and pull it out now and again to remind myself how good things can sound without getting too extreme.

From a value perspective, this is being sold for less than half of its parts value. = awesome deal.

Aaah, memory lane and the old headwize days. RiP CMoy.
