FS: Metrum Adagio

Hey guys. I own two Metrum Adagios. One in black, one in silver, both basically flawless. These DACs are NOS, but they make for some really gorgeous vocals. Tone density to die for. You can always add outboard upsampling with HQ Player.

Bunch of folks here consider this DAC end game in certain setups (e.g., HD800 or when listening to vocals)

A stellar DAC and a great price. I still listen to Pavane every day and this one's a step up (features, some believe in sonics too).

 

Yes, adagio is Pavane level iii with volume control. The volume control changes the DC voltage going into the resistor ladder rather than attenuating the signal after it’s generated. Thus, the volume control is perfectly transparent. Easily eliminates an extra set of cables and preamp distortion.

 

Although ZDS is sold but ZDS with Metrum DAC would have been one of the best for 800 series.
