FS: modded akg k1000

Selling the headphones I've had longest in my possession.

Since I loved the K1000s when I first heard it, I went all out to get the best sound possible out of it...hence, mine has been hardwired with the SAA cable terminated to banana plugs.

Also, I got the cage mod which is somewhat controversial but well worth it to me.
It removes the inner grill for improved sound, which is not subtle.

As long as I've been careful, I've never had any issues or concerns regarding damaging the drivers.

Comes in very good condition, including the pads.
Pads don't look like they need to be replaced.
Very light scratches on the headband but I suppose that's expected with age.

Serial is #10xxx so not bass heavy.

Also comes with light brown K1000 box.
