I was hoping to post pictures of a great snowstorm, to go with the WFH themed items. Currently, looking like a half-inch instead of a half-foot:

MCTH+LPS and Modius is a hell of a HD6x0 setup for 2 bills

Sorry, I am not familiar with THX 789. I might have heard it once, at a meet event.

I know this is going to sound strange, but when you have two amplifiers sitting side-by-side... The tone of the RebelAmp was remarkably similar to Starlett, which I was lucky to purchase from a Friend (who happens to live nearby, and was upgrading through the DNA line). However, unlike the Starlett, I cannot seem to get it to play each note with the same emphasis. It is like it engages me for the one note, then backs off for the next three.

At MSRP of $500, it is overpriced - definitely by Schiit standards. I think pricing it a little above Asgard/Magnius is about right. For certain moods, or certain passages of music, I really think I could enjoy RebelAmp. It pulls me in... just doesn't continue, for me. I know that doesn't answer the question, but I think the amplifier is 'aight.

Will probably try to learn something about circuits, try to make this thing sing... or move it to Head-Fi in a few days.

I never heard of the Rebelamp until now. His page says it's based on an AMB audio design which looks like the M3.

There's definitely room to cut costs on the amp. It's looks like mostly through-hole construction and definitely manufacturing much smaller volume. In fact he says supporting the project will allow him to expand to mass manufacturing.

Still, for anyone looking to build an AMB amp this seems very cost effective
