Up for sale is an unmatched pair of 1975 single wire getter post grey shield Voshkod Rockets (with the same month & year code) for whatever sum you'd like me to donate to SBAF. All money, sans shipping costs ($5) will go to SBAF.

I'm not sure if I can ask you to donate yourself, but that would be easier—mods please help here. Also if I need to put an actual FS price, please let me know.

    About the tubes:

They are unused as far as I can tell, and the eBay listing said NOS, but had no testing numbers, so take that for what you will. I rly like them in my SFD DAC, and this year of prod. was rated highly on that infamous 6922 Lyr tube rolling thread on head-fi, you can find it here too: http://www.changstar.com/www.changstar.com/index.php/topic,2587.0.html

This year of Rockets was ranked 9th of 17 tubes, but '75 Reflekors topped the list (above both Siemens & Telefunken CCa), so it's somewhat dubious lol. Think the dude was selling the Reflektors too, so take that w a grain of salt. On a separate list, the '75 SWGP grey shields came out as the #1 year/shield-type for Rockets.

If you've never heard them, these mil-spec aerospace tubes are resolving, airy, spacious, clear & clean, if a bit lean and SS-sounding. So system synergy plays a big role here.

    Pic post tonight!

So seller was a little devious and sent me 6N1Ps instead of 6N23Ps...

These are similar tubes, but NOT drop in replacements for the 6922 family like the 6N23Ps are.

So the offer still stands, but now it's a quad (plus one extra for fun, so a total of 5) of '75 Rocket logo 6N1Ps. Free shipping now, too.

So where can you use these Russian military tubes? A cursory google search turned up: lots of Schiit products, including Freya Noval & Freya+ (with adapter), Valhalla 1 & 2, and Vali 2+.

If there's more amps, DACs or preamps that use these tubes, please comment!
