Fuji X100F does Yerba Buena Center, SF

Went in to "The City" (that's San Francisco, for all of you that don't live in Northern California ) today to attend the WatchBuys show.

Wandered around Yerba Buena Center across the street afterwards with the wonderful little Fuji X100F, had a spot of lunch, and did some sreet photography.

They're all good man but that 2nd shot is otherworldly. How did you correct the verticals or did you not need to?

 

Used the Transform function in Lightroom to correct the keystoning.

 

I just learned what keystoning is. Cool stuff! I gotta see if you can do it in Capture One.

 

So many photographers use Lightroom these days but I can't get on with it at all. I just deal with these things in ACR before Photoshop. It's all I really know.

 

Absolutely. Capture One has a very effective but simple keystone correction tool.

 

Lightroom has become....troubled. Adobe has become much more focused on itself and making record profits than providing value to their customers. The issue with Photshop is that the editing is destructive because you're working on a bitmapped version of the image, rather than editing the RAW file. Adobe needs to be careful, because they now have really viable competition. Capture One Pro 10 is really excellent, it has gotten really good, and next year Luminar will have DAM support. OneOn and Affinity also offer viable altenatives.

I'm still using Lightroom for daily use...for now. But they are pissing me off more and more with their Adobe-centric attiitudes. I may just move over to Capture One Pro 10 for everythiing.
