Hi all, bitter sweet really just sold my Audeze iSine 20 which i loved but was not using since i had a kid.

I recently purchased Sony SH1000XM3 and really enjoyed the ease of chucking them on and listening to audio on the fly

This got me thinking what about buying a 'really good pair' of headphones and using my Es100/Nickle Amp stack that i have and velcroing it to the headband best of both worlds.

I really like the Planar sound ( I replaced Andromeda with iSine 20) so what do you guys reccommend are the top picks in the used marked?

Am aware of LCD (although not sure difference between models) and i can't remember the other brands thast do Planar good..

    Cheers!

    Hi Luke,

so are these headphones for being out and about in noisy environments? Also looks like the Nickle Amp is interesting has very high output impeadance

Hey, yeah so these would be to chuck on at home and listen to music/movies without having my partner compain about the noise. Having thought about it some more, i really like the weight of the XM3's (252g) ideally I would end up with a similar weight (which i know will filter a lot out)

I LOVE the Nickle AMP, it worked GREAT with my iSine 20, Andromeda's and it makes a great light stack to carry around your neck.

From a little online binging I have landed on a couple recommendations (Zeos videos mostly) Fostex th900 (fixed cable on Mk1 but can be modded) T60rp happy to up my budget a little.

    Key requirements-

    250g (approx)
Space to velcro Es100 / Nickle Amp somewhere on them
    Swappable cables
    Closed back
