Got my first set of monitor speakers, impressed

    M-Audio Bx5a. Got them for my computer desk.

    My other audio gear is a TOTL surround system for my living room, and my HD800 and other TOTL headphones. The M-Audios aren't as good as those but they're really good and acceptable.

    Of course, always wanting more, I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading to $1,000 monitor speakers, such as the KEF X300, or another brand. Size is the constraining factor here, I really don't want to go bigger than 7" wide, 10" tall, and I don't have room for a big receiver/amp so the speaker should have a built in amp
