that's stupid. Why would they do that? Do they want people to get hearing loss turning up their headphones over the engine noise?

Concorde had it right. They handed out Sennheiser HD25.

Wonder what JetBlue charges of you "forget" to turn in your 60's when deplaning?

i use Thinksound ON2's for buggy rides, good isolation and sound for a C note.

I would buy a better Grado and be more annoying in First Class.

Passenger boards the plane: there is so much noise...

Airline gives the open Grado SR60e: here plug them in.

    Passenger: well thank you.

The plane is flying, there is noise.

Passenger: plugs in headphone, presses play. How pleasant, music is playing.

The plane has landed: passenger hands back the Grado SR60e.

Passenger ask the service employee 'do you also hear that beeping sound since we landed?'

    Service employee 'What beeping sound?'

    The tinnitus has stricken again...

Well TBH of all the planes I flew on, they always give open back on ears, just shit quality. At least grado is a bit better.

It's still very, very stupid, but super cheap I guess, so that's why they do it. Still, for the price of the grados I'm sure they could have found something much more suitable.

Seems nowadays everybody is moving to cheap In-ears, at least that was case on all my international flights this year.

That makes more sense. It's probably easier to recycle the on ears, just give new cloths, cant get cheaper then that.

"give new cloths" hahaha, and they clean TSA trays too.

Probably the best deal is to use cheap iems and let folks keep them. I Know you can source them in quantity for about a quarter ea.
