    Hey everyone

I'd like to upgrade my DAC which is a Khadas Tone Board connected via USB to my PC and via RCA to my headphone tube amplifier.
My budget is give or take a $1000.

I'd also prefer a delta sigma dac over r2r. Unless someone knows an r2r dac sub $1000 that has great clarity, dynamics, good and tight bass.

So I narrowed it down to Gustard x18 and Topping D90SE that fit my budget.

    I could get the D90se for $811
The Gustard x18 for $835 (might be possible to get it for $726)

I was considering the Bifrost 2, I like the idea of an american made DAC with Unison USB and galvanic isolation, until a friend told me that it has pillowy bass. is that true?

So which one would you guys recommend me to purcahse? Please take all 3 price options in to consideration.
    Cheers

Come on. You have been coming here for 3 years and are still ignoring guidance you got on your very first post and on each subsequent thread you have opened. I gave you the nice welcome and advice the first time you posted, this time you get the dislike for repeatedly ignoring people here. And unless you have something against windmills, the retaliatory dislike you gave me is just sad.

You must be confusing me with someone else. I did maybe 3-4 posts at best. But getting shit posted for asking people their opinions on how 2 dac compare is actually sad.

These are some of the most popular DAC's up to $1400 budget. Yes, they are from China and yes they measure perfectly, which to some people is the only thing that matters (not to me). But nevertheless they are the most popular dacs below $1400.

Still, nobody has really compared them and I am sure that I am certainly not the only one, not even in this community, that is curious about this.
