    Closest I can think of is the HE-X, though that was based on a listen at RMAF. Maybe a good LCD-whatever if you're lucky and willing to take a risk.

    I don't have a ton of experience with planars because I find the HD650 paired with the right DAC and amp to be superior to most of them. YMMV, don't get mad at me if you find otherwise for yourself. ;)

    Actually, mine are the newer HE-400i with the plug in connectors. Unfortunately, it is very bright/sibilant...

    Hmmmm. I wonder if that is because of the removed back plate? I notice that the HE-560 gets brighter when the grills are removed.
