Head-Fi Bay Area Fall Meet: November 7, 2015

I figured I'd post this here for those of you who don't check HF anymore. There'll be a meet at Massdrop on November 7th. It's free and 20 additional slots just opened up.

TMo- Come pick it up before the meet! And compare to a ZD Super if one shows up...

Will- darn/yes, had a brief bit of excitement...but will be coaching a soccer game and attending a play.

 

I can also come by and pick it up, since I'm headed in the same-ish direction.

To be honest, I would like people to hear the Moth + stock HD600 setup more, and get them to convert to "our" religion, CEE TEE.



And next time, I should find a soccer coach to take your place so that you can join us!

 

Im going to this also, I really want to hear Tmoney's old 009 setup. Tmoney are you bringing the Yggdrasil? If so do you want to share a station? I just have the Rag, but I would like to have an amp to power my headphones Im bringing to compare to your old setup.

 

That sounds awesome, man. I'll bring the Yggdrasil and we can use your Rag to run it.

I'm also in the process of purchasing a preamp and I might bring that along as well. Not that there is any use for it, but why not? We can plug it in just for fun and use it as a remote volume control for the Rag. I'll bring a power strip too.

NoStream are you atomikPi with the 009/KGSS? If so what are you running to your dac, will you have a laptop?

Yep. Going to be running macbook pro w/ jRiver >usb> Yggdrasil > kgss >009. Bring a flash and you can play whatever.

If you wouldn't mind bringing a source that would be great. At home I use a NAS and my Oppo as a renderer and they aren't that easy to get working on new networks.

 

FWIW this is one of the rare full-size meets where member tables are going to greatly outnumber MOT tables. I miss the old days and I think that these kinds of meets are worth supporting even if a large majority of the gear is mid-fi.

Also, selfishly I'd love to see you there so I can pick your brain on some gear related questions.
