I've been kind of bummed that I'll be working through Christmas this year, in the bitter Northern Canadian cold, -40 COLD. Last night, most of the site (mine under construction) I work on, shut down due to extreme cold conditions, not my company though...

Our manager ordered us to build a gingerbread house for our companies annual gingerbread house contest. He dropped off a gingerbread house kit, various candy, and a sheet of particle board, with the instructions everything had to be edible "NO EXCEPTIONS," and the theme had to be a Christmas movie.

This is what our 7 man and 1 women crew came up with during our 12 hour night shift.

The theme we chose was "Polar Express"

I was responsible for the marshmallow snowmen and candy fish jumping out of the lake.

Coffee grinds and oatmeal were used to "sand and gravel" the icy snow covered walkways, safety first. Pudding was used to help the sugar/snow adhere to the particle board. I think the train entering the tunnel looks more like a top fuel dragster, but oh well.

Anyway, it was fun and helped raise my Christmas spirits. I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,
Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or whatever you may or may not believe in. Have an awesome holiday season and best wishes in 2017 !!!

    Love it.

However, was scratching my head on what appears to be snowman heads both on the top of the chimney (with smoke coming out of its head) and coming out of the lake?

"Night of the zombie marshmallow snowmen"? o_O

Cheers and happy holidays as well

Jason Vorhees is emerging from the lake, Santa going down the chimney, and the zombie theme was actually voted down at the last minute.

It was called "the dildo" until the marshmallow stack was put on, actually it still was called the dildo after, lol. I had no part in that aspect of the creation.

I don't know how I missed this, but this was too awesome. I figured out how to grab old articles and put them at the top of the home page.

Why do I think this is something only a construction crew could pull off?
