So far, my current needledrop system is consisted of...

    1) Orbit turntable with Grado Black1 cartridge.
    2) Schiit Mani phono amp.
    3) Focusrite Scarlett 2i2.

It was found out (by local audio dealer) that this Orbit turntable has a significant flaw. Basically it cannot be fully aligned because a tonearm is too short (or wrongly assembled. But it seems most likely too short.) The sound itself is actually decent (for my ears) but I guess I can get a new turntable (it has other some problems, not serious but problems indeed.)

Now I am looking at my current phono amp and audio interface, which are pretty much basic-level gear. I think I can afford to upgrade one of them but not both. Should I upgrade the phono or the interface?

Yes, I saw this TC-750 thread... That's very interesting thread. I sent you an PM (I guess it's called conversation) about my address.

I agree with Marv. Phono stage will make the biggest difference for you.

I have a 2i2 at home that I use for measurements. It's good entry level. Much better then using a noisy onboard A/D.

    I see.
I ordered TC-750 and 10uf WIMA caps for now.
