    I found out about this guy from head-case.org / superbestaudiofriends.org:

    Robert Levi has also been known to make outlandish claims such as the PS1000 having "supreme neutrality, and ultra linear frequency response" and being able "outperform" STAX electrostats"; and the Ultrasone Edition 8 as having "the flattest sounding, most extended headphones I have ever heard" when subjective impressions from those with considerable experience with those headphones and objective measurements say otherwise.

    I don't know what kind of koolaid or drugs that guy in on; or perhaps he's really a shill, readily accepting hong-bao from audio companies - or maybe he's just a retard. He does seem to be a fanboy of E.A.R. and Modwright, but this isn't too bad in itself as they make good stuff. However, looking at his equipment list, it's quite obvious he is very susceptible to snakeoil products such as expensive power cables, quantum noise disruptors, Bybee filters, etc. which are nothing more than placebo.

    I had two posts deleted at HF because I used the term "Changstar". I also got an email from a mod the second time around.
    Whenever I google a particular headphone-related query, a HF thread is almost always the first one to turn up. I don't know if anyone else has noticed this but at least one of the forum members on THAT HF page would have a "Banned" note next to his profile name. Some of those folks even adopted multiple handles. LOL
    Maybe I am searching for the wrong info. ;)

    I find it funny how people are offended when you start taking reviewers to task over their less than honest reviews and falsified data points. Some reviewers honestly sound like a broken record and say nothing negative about a product and basically amplify the already bloated marketing of certain audio companies and their products they are reviewing.

    @velvetx totally agreed, i'm just really offended by some of the comments on IF trashing SBAF and was thinking some of the more lively threads from Chang might feed into that mindset.

    but then, it was the only poster ever banned here that was spewing Schitt.

    with politics off the table, i think we have a very nice little community here and i am confident we will continue to grow and be able to agree to disagree.

    then again, i really like this place. :)

    LMAO. As far as the "haters" on IF, it's the been the same six people over and over. Jazz Casual (who went by several accts on HF and is now banned from everywhere), Beagle, Tomb of Beezar.com (who still can't get over me enjoying the Abyss from the Vali), Castle of Argh, and a few others under aliases like Dale Thorn.

    It's hilarious. It's like these bunch of dweebs whose sole purpose in life is to hate me because they feel totally threatened for whatever reason. I don't even take myself seriously (but I definitely take audio seriously).

    It all comes down to one thing: they hate the fact that people like to hear what we have to say, and no one cares what they have to say.

    I wouldn't even bother defending SBAF. Just be gracious and throw them a bone and say "yup, you guys are totally right about us." And indeed they are, at least from their points of view.

    Changstar was great for me in my quest to learn more about this hobby. SBAF is more of the same. The folks here are cool, and if anyone has an issue with the people on this site, than f**k, I weep for their lack of humor and/or fortitude while online.

    Or, as is more likely the case, the whiners posting at IF are simply superdouche attention whores.

    Love this place. Thanks to everyone who posts here and makes my day a little bit better.

    This x2. I cut my teeth on the mid-2000s chan imageboards. Basic civility or even decency was more exception than rule, but you learn how to look past the shitposters and sift out the valuable content. I also found that when a site turns into a hugbox that tends to spell the end for productivity.
