Please register as an MOT and make product announcements in the proper subforums. Thanks.

@Marvey: Is this rando shilling for JDS? Didn't know they had a history of engaging in such lowbrow behavior. Though I'm frequently ignorant of such background info, admittedly.

Dunno. If @Ph0n6 does not report back and intro himself (along with his intentions), this thread and him may magically disappear. Product announcements are fine. Random spam/spammers are not.

Nah. Not a SPAM bot or stuff. @Ph0n6, please introduce yourself.

    LOL! The "Objective" line:

    https://www.jdslabs.com/store/#objective-line

    O2 ($129) + OL DAC ($139) + OL Switcher ($45) stacker

    vs Schiit:

    Magni ($99) + Modi ($99) + SYS ($49) stacker

And they are using the same DAC chip. Jebuz! :D

Do we have a "quarantine" subforum? a place to shove things so they don't show up on the "new posts" sidebar.

My apologies for not reading the forum rules first before posting :( I came from the other forum (from what I can see it's a taboo word here or something , though I can see why). Glad to be the member of one with stricter rules :)

The "Element" line is more cringeworthy:

    https://www.jdslabs.com/store/#element-line

    EL amp ($279) + EL dac ($279)

    vs Schiit:

    Magni Uber/ Vali 2 / Asgard 2 / Val 2 + Modi Multibit

And you get more power/tubes + a multibit DAC for even less???

I have no clue who would choose to buy the JDS offerings.

    Welcome. Please introduce yourself man.

Don't assume to much about folks around here. AFAIK we do not have a "sponsor" program here, and some folks may take advantage of that and start peddling their shit. Which is OK to some extent as long as it's not all they do.

It's also not OK to start throwing stones at this forum because you started off with the wrong foot. I didn't even know if you where just a SPAM bot until I saw you had one previous post that did not seem like SPAM.

Sorry english is not my first language so maybe I wasn't being clear there. By taboo I meant that I came here from Headfi after seeing some quite unpleasant stuff they did (mostly with the sponsors involved, and the fact that sbaf is pretty much non-existent there), and from some of the post I see around here many feel the same. I was wrong to assume that this forum treat the Headfi the same they treat sbaf, my sincerest apologies.

You can say Head-Fi. It's OK. We are not North Korea.

From my personal experience, JDS and Schiit seem to have different groups of own fans.

JDS fans (accurately speaking, Nwavguy's fans) mostly come from budget-rich computer geeks, while Schiit is loved by budget-conscious audiophiles IMO (I was the former two months ago, now the latter).
So, I am wondering whether JDS lab's new offerings really "compete" against Schiit in the market, regardless of the actual quality (presumably nobody here know now).

BTW, as an ex-user, the biggest problem of odac was its performance variation. Too sensitive to usb signal quality and electricity quality. So I am personally curious whether this problem is addressed with newer dacs.

Hmm, wasn't ODAC supposed to be the pinnacle of high-end audio engineering? Measurements'n'stuff... How can they improve on that?
