Glad to let you vent Jason.

Just to pile on. What does God have to do with an audio show? It didn’t work out, that’s it.

Speaking of meets, could we move this conversation over to the Meetings thread? Like the SoCal meet, ETA June.

Organizer is 26. Seems really young for an event with mostly ORFAS types. I suspect the responsibility somehow fell on her lap and it just got to be too much.

Good to hear, wonder how many exhibitors will do it this year. LA and OC are a hell of an audio market splitting it like it was only does more harm than anything.
I remember last year doing CanJam SoCal then Axpona then a dealer event in Maryland all so close together. Had a blood test the following week and doc found I was anemic. I can kind of blame those back to back to back shows for messing with my diet and system.

Back at the end of CanJam SoCal, I did ask if they scheduled CanJam SoCal first or did Axpona, they said they didn't know and that it was just an awful coincidence both shows were a weekend after each other.
Marine I noticed suddenly got super religious. Hearing that she just got divorced and dealing with an audio show probably broke something in her and she turned to religion.

Michael Fremer summed it up quite nicely in the final few paragraphs of his article on the subject..

    https://www.analogplanet.com/content/dazed-and-confused—laas-audio-show-cancelled-and-not-due-lack-interest

The capitalized "His" means, I assume she's referring to God's plan, not Richard Beers' plan. I can assure everyone reading this that God doesn't give a shit about high performance audio and I personally don't give one about Presson's self-indulgent pain. She let down everyone with her self-absorbed behavior instead of reaching out and asking for help from those who might have been able to get the job done.

Meanwhile, if you think she has retreated and is simply "licking her (self inflicted) wounds", you'd be wrong. While damaging the audio industry and the reputations of members of the Los Angeles and Orange County Audio Society, she's been very busy finding Jesus as part of her "healing process".

You'll excuse me for having zero sympathy. Or maybe you won't. At this point I could care less. The bottom line is, the grown young woman we thought was running the show turned out to be a little girl.

Naw, I disagree. God has a Utopia and a Balancing Act. Come-on, it's God! She lives in Utopia and her job is all about a balancing act! :)

June 9th when LAAS was supposed to happen, The Source AV is hosting the McIntosh Clinic and will have the McIntosh McMasters Classes to teach all about McIntosh.

Had more than a few people let us know that they had booked flights and hotels prior for the LAAS and when that was cancelled still wanted to do the McIntosh stuff so we're doing it in our store.
