The T3 is a hybrid amp strictly speaking, but with a unique parafeed topology and not a hybrid amp in the traditional sense (e.g. Vali 2, Mjolnir 2, Liquid Crimson, Liquid Glass). The T3 is magic with HD800, but I found it lacks absolute power for some of the less efficient planars.

Taking the above into account - are you aiming for Code-X tuning on these?

I think this is about to become a VERY active thread :)

With a bundle of Schiit announcements this month, Massdrop goodies and now a possible production Code-X, its a great time to be alive!

BOTH new headphones are tuned to my liking...that's all I am going to say for now. Lots of work to be done.

I've been using the Cavalli Liquid Glass amp for the Code-X and synergy is terrific. Luis uses the same amp.

Code-x is not difficult to drive, but shines with more power - I believe the Jot should be a better pairing than the T3 - I have a Taurus MKII which is also very good with the Code-x, tons of power with very clean sound. It's actually one of the best SS amps I've heard and can be had for $800 used. Generally you're looking for a good amount of clean powered and a non-coloured (I mean nothing is completely non-coloured etc so maybe the least coloured) signature to not mess with the tonality of the Code-x. I would imagine anything that has good synergy with the HE-500/HE-5 should also be pretty good with the Code-x.

Why... Why is the god of desire so powerful, and the money god so frugal...

When I heard the Code-X I really liked it, although Rag may not be the best pairing. Listened to the PMx2 back to back and liked them both, the cohesiveness (well not the FR) are really something. Never gotten to write an impression though.

With two new creations cooking on the burner, no wonder my Slants have taken a bit longer getting sent out than expected. I'm looking forward to my first taste of "nothing"! Is there a Code-X at the Schiitr by any chance? I'll be there next February.

P.S. Where I live, we eat rice 365 days of the year (short grain). Doesn't seem too save me any money though :(

This post has single handedly rekindled my interest in the hobby; It has slowly been diminishing over the past year.

I've been saving in the meantime for something interesting to come along. If these are anything like the code-x, then I'm in.

Very exciting news. Good luck with the remaining work to be done.

Very much interested. Have Slants and Enigmas, but been meaning to replace my LCD-3s with something else, and an open planar tuned by Luis would fit the bill nicely.

    Waiting eagerly for more information.

How are those parts going Luis :)

Im following these phones with extreme interest, please feel free to bounce thoughts off the masses here. I haven't actually heard a set of Code-X but from the way they are described (and my small session with Enigmas) I'm excited.

I just hope they don't end up weighing as much as the code-X's and are light/distribute weight well enough for comfortable long listening sessions (which most planars can't achieve, although tides are starting to shift with lighter Hifimans, Mrspeakers and now even the upcoming Audeze lcd mx-4. So, it's not impossible.)

Still aside....I'm working on current orders before I work on future headphones. Currently have a few 5LE's and 6's to finish as well as some beautiful red slants and a paradox. Once I'm caught up, then I'll work on the other stuff. I'm also getting over a really bad cold so I don't work on stuff when I'm sick.

It's a compromise. There are very light planars out there but...the sound is uh....light to say the least.

@LFF I'm sure folks would like a few small 'teaser' details about the new phones. Are both designs open back? Both planars? Why two, different sound signatures or some other reason? Which are the closest from the stuff you already released into the wild?

Will you make a lot of pairs, or will they be in the 'rare unicorn' category like Code-Xs? (I think I can guess the answer to this one)
S'ok, I built up my strength by now listening to the LCD-XC everyday :D

Hey Luis, not sure if you remember me, but I bought the 5th Paradox you've ever made - we're talking like 5-6 years ago - and I'm very curious to know the procedure in buying a Code-X.

Keep in touch, I might also be interested in selling your product in our boutique. Layton Audio, in Montreal. We do well with niche companies and love offering specialised items to let people discover unique products.

Hey guys...posting this here so everyone knows and it saves me time.

We had a death in the family this past weekend and I've been dealing with this and finals in school. My apologies if I haven't responded or if I haven't mailed out your stuff. I will soon. Just have other things to deal with right now. Sorry but I'll get back on track soon.
