When I'm out and about, my favorite solution is a wearable bluetooth amp, cIEMs and phone. I've never been into the traditional stack, and this allows my phone to be handled in an unencumbered way. This solution leads to frustration when I'm forced to dig my IEMs out for impromptu conversation. One novel solution to this problem is an app called "Awareness!" (their punctuation) by the developer Essency. However this app does not function with bluetooth. I'm just curious what others have done to implement 'listen through' functionality for cIEMs?

Seems like it'd be best or most easily implemented on the BT receiver itself, many already have a mic for call functionality anyway... Don't think I've ever seen one with said feature tho, you'd figure it would've occurred to someone by now huh? What BT device are you using btw?

Oh nice, I'm using a much older Sony MW600, that SBH50 looks a lot like the MW1 (that probably came out in between them)... I was looking at the current SBH52/54 when the clip on my MW600 broke, but reviews seemed somewhat mixed as to how it compared.

Eventually I found someone selling the MW600 clips for like $7 so I said screw it and stuck with what I have, heh. It's hard to get any meaningful data/reviews on these little things, but I like what Sony's been doing with them for a while now.

My solution when I don't want quite as much isolation as my Etys provide is to simply wear my V-Moda XS instead. :p Or Koss KSC75 if I want even less isolation (skiing!). I'd love to see a Sony model with pass thru tho...
