Here's an image to guide any loaner experiments. Every pad in this image is shown in the forward facing position. You can tell the Gerod and the Geekria L apart because the L has visible layers to the foam construction and a wider center hole.

The blue foam round is either for rear damping to taste (cuts the bass about 2dB but otherwise unchanged) or for protection when not in use. I'm working on getting some grey foam to be less goofy looking for this case.

The sock can be used by itself, or in addition to the other pads for some front damping to soften the transient response and mellow out the tone.

If you don't want to play with the earpads at all, I suggest listening with the Geekria L in the backwards position as a baseline, with no sock in the front and no blue round in the back. That is what I would consider the 'stock' presentation and what I used for measurements on the first post of this thread.

Here's a handy chart to describe how I hear the differences between these pads relative to one another:

Lastly, for the sake of comfort and sound on the Geekria L backwards, I suggest positioning your ear such that the back of your pinna sits against the foam, NOT centered where it might be touching the driver (no fun!):

Hope this helps! Thanks for the feedback everyone :)

@tommytakis Can I hop in when @famish99 is done with these? Always good to keep tabs on what y'all are cooking up in your mad scientist lab.
