#2 has been hand delivered to @Northwest after a mini-meet at my acoustic lab this morning. Sorry to see this one go, but six months isn't far away.

This is the first time I'm participating in a loaner tour so I want to make sure that I'm abiding by the rules. I received the amp on Tuesday. The five day loan period would end on Saturday the 23rd. I think most shipping stores are closed Sunday, and next Monday is Christmas. On what day do I need to send the amp to the next person in the loaner queue?

Even after one night with the ZDT Jr I can say that I like it a lot. I think people will be happy when it ships later next year.

You can try to ship it out Saturday, but if you feel you need a bit of extra time, I don't think anyone will kill you if you can't ship it out till Tuesday.

@Northwest Wait until after Christmas. I'd recommend not using USPS until after the new year.

Awesome, I have a stack of music I need to listen to. I typically ship through UPS with signature confirmation.

Take Vansen’s advice. I’ve been inside a UPS sorting facility just before Christmas. Boxes failing off conveyor belts right and left. Just too many packages at once. And they are in such a hurry they just throw the downed box on the nearest belt. A madhouse. Amazing most packages get to their destination and undamaged. No slam on UPS.

I'd sit on it a while. I could only imaging Boxing Day at UPS...

Take this opportunity to have greater depth of comparison between the ZDT Jr. and Sonett 2, which I want to hear when our schedules align again.

I unexpectedly have to leave town today, as the ZDT was headed to me. I’ll be back the night of the 31st, which means I won’t be able to pick the amp up till the 2nd. I can just forward it on to the next person in line since I don’t want to hold the tour up and due to circumstances I won’t have much time to listen anyway. Sorry for the snag everyone!

Flame me if you want, but I'll chime in and say the short delay won't bother me.

    Let @Merrick have a listen.

I wanted to note that the ZDT Jr loaner I had gave off a slight crackling noise. I honestly don’t have much tube amp experience but understand there can sometimes be a hum. But this was less a hum than a crackling type noise. Totally drowned out by even modest music level so it didn’t bother me but I thought I should mention as I was not sure if this was typical or not. I had this with both my HD 600 and 650 and tried multiple cables so figure it was the amp and not other parts of the chain.

Sounds more like a bad tube

Could be. Also, the tubes were already in and had foam protectors around then which I, of course, removed. Could have been that they weren't all pushed fully in. I should have checked for that but just left them exactly as they came. Maybe @spwath can check when he receives it tomorrow.
