received well. looks and sounds much better than expected.

 

I swapped some of the packing materials with what the Source AV used to ship me the Clear, it's pretty damn good stuff, doesn't rattle around at all.

 

Is there a 6th spot available? I’m now very interested since I joined the BW2 club and this seems quite the match (as always I’m late to the party ).

If it's ok with everyone, let's wait for @zach915m to get the pads to me so I can get them to @Vtory for proper treatment and measurements (if you're good doing another set of measurements, that is) and then move them along to spots 5 and 6?

After that, I'd like to spend time with them myself, as I'm going through withdrawal here. *Twitch*

 

I am good with your plan. Will hold aeolus loaner unit a little more (originally planned to send them out tomorrow haha). Is this ok, @Ray ?

 

Pads arrived Friday evening. Been quite busy, haven't even opened the box. @Vtory, pm me an address to send them to please. TYVM

New pads safely arrived at my place just before -- to be specific the following three pairs:

• Perforated aeolus lambskin
• Perforated verite lambskin
• Perforated universe suade

The loaner unit is currently with perforated universe (maybe lambskin? -- correct me if it's cowhide).

Will test and measure them before sending these (loaner aeolus + 4 sets of pads) out.

Four pads are also included: suede (equipped), aeolus and verite pads (covered with red sheets), and universal pads (uncovered)

I sorta hope three loaner participants prior to myself to find any chance to hear suede and verite pads on aeolus. Difference is f'ing huge no matter whether or not you like the changes.

Thanks for doing the review and measurements!

I'd be open to one more person being added to the loaner after @Ray, priority given to anyone who heard it previously without the suede and Verite pads so they can adjust their review / impressions. After that, I want to spend a little time getting to know them again. Tag @Vansen if you're interested.

I might send them out on another tour, once this one is completed.

 

I will give up my spot. Since I’m getting an Af, I may more interested in Auteur now.

Lol I (quite substantially) preferred the Aeolus over the Auteur on my 0fb Af.

I’ll go last on the list of heard it before folks. My impressions tend toward the fluffy and emotional, rather than the analytical. Go figure, I’m an engineer. I guess headphones are one of my escapes from engineer-dom. If nobody else of “those who came before” ponies up, I will, and update my posts accordingly.

 

@aamefford, @famish99 - You gents get first crack at a re-review w/ the pads Zach sent.
