Marvey's DAC Chart of Awesomeness

Damn straight! I often marvel at the sound I get out of my Eitr->Modi Multibit->Vali 2 (new version with a WE396A tube) stack. I listen with nearfield speakers more often than headphones (HD 650) and, either way, it sounds just incredible for the price.

 

The Modi Multibit PSU is very good, don't try and replace it with any third-party randomness, you're unlikely to improve it. It may be a cheap-looking wall wart, but it's no disposable switcher, it's a tiny LPS which seems to have decent filtering.

Schiit know what they're doing.

Also, don't forget that it's an AC PSU too- most audiophile foofoo builders make DC PSUs. Your choice may be limited.

Stupidly cute, too. The form factor is excellent, fits on even tiny desks and doesn't really upset people sensitive to piles of ugly kit everywhere. (He said, guiltily, having gone back to a three amp desk again )

 

It's not a LPS, it's just a transfo. The LPS is on the Modi Multibit PCB itself.
