And huge value if you think about those 20 Super Junior tracks included. Can't wait.

I'm not a Korean fan :( But that purple looks pretty sick.

Based on the comments in the drop, sounds like this is overstock from a few years back when this was a promo in Korea, and A&K have stopped software support for this model.

If by cheaper, you mean quality. It's just a different color; I've owned both. It actually looks sharp if you get one of those nice cases on it..

No, I mean less expensive. Most I've seen recently have been in the $250 range, I think?

Great deal at 200 if you're ok with folder navigation. Form factor and build are excellent, and sound is very good (as good as I need on the go). Biggest negative is the ~7-8 hr battery life.

If this is the case, then I'd be very wary about the condition of the battery - at least assuming it's a Lithium-based unit. Lithium-chemistry batteries do NOT like to sit unused and they age regardless of whether they're being cycled or not.

Lithiums can age quite gracefully if stored well- typically at around half charge and not in hot conditions. See Table 3 here: http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/how_to_prolong_lithium_based_batteries

Caveat: That table refers to lithium ion, rather than lithium polymer, I have never found any information specific to Li-po flavours, and have always assumed they age like Li-ions.

In my experience, devices with lithium batteries do tend to arrive only partially charged, and I believe that manufacturers do this for longevity reasons (maybe also for safety?)
