Massively overbuilt 45 headphone amp all noise no signal

    I put my confidence in that @Tristan Jones knows his shit in DIY and designs and I have heard his sublime stuff. At the last Seattle meet I met with both Tristan and @johnjen have also personally heard an earlier iteration of this stupid 45 amp. Yes it sounded crude, but showed great potentials. I believe that this ever madder evolution of this 45 amp is the culmination of the two men's love of DIY and good sound.

    Detailed and well thought out? Surely you must be talking about someone else :D

    But in all seriousness, thank you for the complement. There is still plenty I don't know and I very much consider myself a novice. Some of the design features of the build have been the result of suggestions we received by other professionals. So this is very much a collaboration with friends, mentors, and other people just enthusiastic to help.

    HAHAHAHA yeah, the TRUE bread board. That one was so slap dash it was almost scary. Ive been thinking about you and I hope you get a chance to hear the amp when its finished.

    If you look at the second page, there are some pictures. None of the transformers are bigger than 4x4x4, so its not like there is a particularly large piece of iron. Its just that we have more than 10 of these little suckers on a single board.
