Sorry if I missed a post on these... but what are these all about?

    And I quote...
    "ACTIVE VISUAL MONITORING

The VU meter featured on the left and right ears of the headphones are a line-level signal indicator, designed to give the headphones a dynamic look as people around you can ‘see’ the level of the music you’re enjoying.

They work exactly like the meters on a professional mixing desk, bringing a touch of the studio to your everyday listening"

"The VU meter featured on the left and right ears of the headphones are a line-level signal indicator designed to make others around aware of how loud your music is.

This can been seen as a safety feature for concerned parents and guardians. Listening to loud music for prolonged periods of time can course severe hearing damage."

I think if this was a display in dB calibrated to the sensitivity of the phones, it might be more useful for this purpose.

But who gives their kids full-size noise cancelling phones to listen to?

That's hilarious. What will they think of next?
