Leave No Trace was one of the best movies I've seen recently.

Saw THE DROP & loved it. Hardy's character seems quiet & straightforward at first. It takes the entire film to slowly reveal who he really is/what he is capable of. Love this acting "from the inside out."

    Couldn't agree more.

Did you notice at the end of the movie when Tom Hardy looks in the mirror, iit's a split second, but he sees the face of the antagonist of the movie? It's real brief. Also, the camera work is truly amazing. Again, at the end of the movie, the spinning, the upside camera shots. Just well done all around.

Agreed, that's a great movie. And Venom with Tom seems looks good too, the latest and rather long trailer is available for a while now.

Definitely want to check Venom out. Love Tom Hardy, great actor and he usually chooses excellent movies to participate in.

Horror is my favorite genre. Best one recently IMO is A Quiet Place. Very well done.

I was thinking about renting quiet place, has excellent reviews but didn't think I'd enjoy it much due to lack of dialog. Maybe I'll rent it tonight.

One absolute word of advice for anyone watching A Quiet Place in a non-theatre setting: no noise, no disturbances - your experience fully depends on it.

I can't remember the last time I went to a movie and the person next to me WASN'T using their cell phone during the show. I can't imagine how much that'd screw up A Quiet Place which I haven't seen but will stream at home.

That sucks, man. I'm gonna watch when no one is home. Maybe use a headphone.

Great call, forgot all about this one unfortunately. Watched it shortly after it came out on disc, was not disappointed. As always, Gandolfini is a pleasure to watch. His final acting credit, I believe.

Another one he made near the end that few people have seen is "Killing Them Softly" - highly recommended, Brad Pitt and Ray Liotta also star, really an excellent film with a great ending.

Yes, that was his last film credit. Played a great part. Speaking of TOM Hardy, watched Warrior (great name too, if I have to say so myself) for a 2nd time, another great movie.

Watched A quiet place too the other night, definitely a great movie too.

Warrior was a very enjoyable film for sure, but the ending was poorly handled and deeply unsatisfying IMO. Just too abrupt.

I was a little underwhelmed by A Quiet Place. The scenes were tremendously tense, no doubt, but the premise was a little difficult for me to totally get in to.

Just happened upon a really great film the other night called Train to Busan. It’s the best zombie related film I think I’ve seen since 28 Days Later. It feels surprisingly fresh for a film in this genre, with a quite few creatively scripted scenes.

I have that downloaded but have not watched it yet. I should make a point of getting to that. Last zombie film I watched was The Girl With All The Gifts and I give that one two thumbs up for its really original premise.
